
Shari Fox of Goose Creek, Laureate Zeta chapter wins big she is not only her chapters chosen Valentine Queen, she also holds the honor of being selected as an “empress” in the Beta Sigma Phi International Valentine Queen contest. Fox now joins a long line of women honored by the local Beta Sigma Phi chapters in the past 81 years. Her picture was published in the February edition of the TORCH, Beta Sigma Phi’s magazine.
Fox has been a member of BSP since 1999 and hold the Exemplar degree. During this time she has been very active in her chapter, President twice, Vice President and City Council Representative 3 times. She extended her talents and knowledge as City Council 1st Vice President and City Council 2nd Vice President twice. She has been voted Miss Congenially twice, Valentine Queen 2 times and Woman of the Year.
She has six years perfect attendance and has chaired most committees however her favorite committees are sunshine and telephone. She truly enjoys staying in touch with her
sisters and ensuring they know they are “special”.

Her sisters admire her charm and loving personality which is amazing since she is a recent two time breast cancer survivor. She is a fourteen year survivor from the first breast cancer and just 6 months from her second time.
Fox and her husband Tom reside in Goose Creek with their two cats. She is a retired medical assistant and enjoys reading, movies and helping others.

Beta Sigma Phi, is an International social sorority and is a by invitation only group with nine chapters in the Greater Charleston area. The purpose is to provide women social activities, service opportunities and cultural projects of all kinds.
It is not a secret group, nor is it connected with any school or college, and is non-political and non-sectarian. Members are women of all ages, from all walks of life. Beta Sigma Phi has a membership of more than 165,000 women in over 20 countries throughout the world.
Chapters donate between 200 and 300,000 hours of time each year to charitable organizations and raise more than $2 million yearly.
