Arrest Made After Shots Fired in Boulder Bluff

Attempted murder charges in Friday incident.

Goose Creek police has arrested a suspect after shots were fired at a car in Boulder Bluff on Friday.

According to police, a man and woman were in their car, travelling west on Stephanie Drive, when shots were fired from a pistol by a person standing on the shoulder of the road near the Veterans of Foreign Wars building. Police say neither the driver nor the passenger were injured.

The shooter fled into the nearby woods. A Goose Creek officer found Joseph Kosmela, 17, of 330 Water Oak Drive, walking along the roadway in the Beverley Hills subdivision. The gun has not been found.

The case is under investigation. Kosmela is facing charges of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, trespassing and two counts of attempted murder.
