Dana Woods, 18, and June Guerry, 22, were last seen by family members late Sunday night. Soon after a search began early in the week, Woods' car was found burnt in the Francis Marion National Forest.

Investigators processing the car found Woods body nearby. An autopsy determined she had died from gunshot wounds. Guerry's body was later found, 10 miles from the scene in Alvin. She was also dead from gunshot wounds, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

The coroner would not release information on the number of bullets used or the location on the bodies that they were shot, due to the investigation.

Matlock and Chavis will face a bond hearing Sunday evening in Moncks Corner.

"Investigators with the Sheriff's Office have been working around the clock to solve this crime since these young women were reported missing early Tuesday," said Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon.
