Basketball Update: Goose Creek, Hanahan Girls Advance
Teams prepare for weekend post-season action.

Goose Creek and Hanahan are still in the running for state championships after wins Tuesday night.
The Goose Creek girls beat visiting Irmo, 50-34, on Tuesday. The team's championship rivals, Spring Valley, also advanced in the tournament with a win over Spartanburg.
The Hanahan girls also won Tuesday in the AA tournament, beating Pelion 58-36.

The Cane Bay girls lost in Monday's playoff action, losing to St. James 49-22. The Cobras' boys team lost Tuesday to Myrtle Beach, 64-49.

Wednesday:
- The Goose Creek boys travel to South Florence at 7 p.m for first-round action. With a win, the Gators could face Summerville or White Knoll.
Friday:Â
- The Goose Creek girls host Lexington at 7 p.m. in the second round. If they win, the girls will take on Summerville or Ridge View on Monday.
- The Hanahan girls travel to Lake City for the second round. A win there will send the girls to Mullins or Silver Bluff on Tuesday.
