Berkeley County Makes Meth Arrest in Sangaree
Deputies search home, allegedly find items consistent with meth lab.

The search of a Sangaree home for a possible meth lab led to an arrest Wednesday afternoon, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office.
Sharon Lynn Haynes, 43, of 1827 Eastside Street, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Neighbors had allegedly reported a chemical smell coming from the area, leading the county's Drug Enforcement Unit to initiate the search, according to Capt. Mike Williams.

After an initial search, investigators say they found items consistent with manufacturing methamphetamine. A search warrant for the entire property led to the discovery of clear plastic bags containing a white powdery substance.
No bond has been set in the case.
