Berkeley Deputies Make Meth Lab Arrest
St. Stephen man charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Department announced the latest in a growing list of meth lab arrests in the county.
Jon Edward Sumler, of 129 Eggleston Way, St. Stephen, is currently being held at Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
Sumler faces several charges related to a search of his home Dec. 23 that included the discovery of components used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, according to Sheriff's Department spokesman Dan Moon.

Items found included Sudafed pill containers, Coleman fuel, coffee filters, salt and multiple plastic jugs with various liquids and solids, according to Moon.
Sumler has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance within 1/2 mile of a playground and four counts of exposing a child to methamphetamine. He is also facing unrelated traffic charges.
