
An escapee on the run for five weeks should be back in the Hill Finklea Detention Center later today after he was arrested late Thursday in Myrtle Beach.
James Sanders walked out of the Moncks Corner facility Jan. 26 and has been on the run since. He was being held by Berkeley County Sheriff's Office in a domestic violence case.
On Thursday, Sanders was arrested by Myrtle Beach law enforcement, according to Berkeley Sheriff's spokesman Dan Moon. A release from the sheriff's office said he was charged with public intoxication, but a Post and Courier report notes that Sanders was charged with larceny for allegedly trying to steal a woman's wallet.

Moon said Berkeley deputies will bring Sanders back to Moncks Corner following a 9:30 a.m. bond hearing in Myrtle Beach.
 Feb. 1 led to a late-night search for Sanders. Authorities would later learn from  twice between Feb. 3 and 4 to see an acquaintance who was a patient at the hospital.Â
