Berkeley Reassessment Process Begins
What to look for as assessor begins evaluating homes throughout the county.

It's wise to be suspicious of strangers snooping around the outside of your home, but there's going to be one stopping by soon with a good reason.

Over the next year, appraisers will visit each parcel in the county to help determine whether property values have changed since 2009.
The assessor's office says these appraisers will have a county ID badge with a photo and will be driving a marked county car. They'll only be measuring the exterior of the home and taking photos.
