Another Local Officer Bitten By A Dog
An officer was interviewing a woman at an apartment community of St. James Avenue on Nov. 12 regarding a burglary when her dog bit him.
The officer said the dog ran up behind him, unseen, and bit him on the back of both of his calves before the woman could restrain the dog.

The dog was confined to the bathroom while the officer completed the interview.
The bites broke the skin on both calves. The officer was treated at Trident Medical Center, released and allowed back to work.

It was the second time in a week that a . A police officer was bitten during a traffic stop on St. James Avenue on Nov. 8. The officer was reaching into the cab of a truck when a dog bit him on the finger.
Salvation Army Bucket Target of Suspicious Behavior
A Salvation Army employee contacted police on Nov. 12 regarding two suspicious men.
The man was retrieving the collected money for the day at the Walmart on St. James Avenue when he noticed two men walking toward his vehicle.
As he placed the container into the rear passenger seat of his car, he noticed the two men standing on the drivers side of the car, acting suspicious.
Worried that they might try to steal the money, the victim said he went back into the store and contacted police.
When officers arrived, the car was securely locked and the suspects were nowhere to be found.
