Blotter: Car Burglarized, Just One Thing Missing
Unknown perpetrator makes off with passes for popular holiday event.

The following information was supplied by the City of Goose Creek Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A local Nascar fan had a scare last weekend when his passes went missing for this weekend's Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington Speedway.
The Pembroke resident contacted police on Sunday afternoon. He'd left his car unlocked and unattended in the driveway overnight and someone took advantage.

The victim found that someone had rifled through the car, but the only thing they were interested in was five tickets for this weekend's race and a camping lot pass stored in the center console. Nothing else in the car was taken.Â
Neighbors told police they saw several kids walking along the street in the middle of the night, but it wasn't enough of a lead for officers to pursue.

Regardless of the theft, the perpetrators won't get a green flag at the gate this weekend. The victim contacted the speedway, the stolen tickets were invalidated and new tickets were issued.
