Dog Bite During Traffic Stop

A Goose Creek police officer was bitten by a dog during a traffic stop on Tuesday, Nov. 8 near the BI-LO on St. James Avenue.

The officer had pulled over the driver to tell him that he had a brake and a tail-light out. After walking the driver to the back of the car, the officer went to put his foot on the brake pedal to show that the light was out when one of two dogs in the car, a terrier mix, bit the officer on his left index finger.

Two of the victims noted several personal supplies missing from the trucks they used on a daily basis. One driver was missing $500 in tools, while the other was missing several small tools valued at approximately $223.

The stolen items from the other trucks weren't inventoried in the initial report because one of the victims hadn't shown up for work and the other had already taken his truck out to a job site.
