Blotter: Drum Set Stolen in Hanahan, Dogs Gone in Goose Creek

A look at two recent yard thefts.

The following information was supplied by the Goose Creek Police Department and the Hanahan Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Hanahan drummer is out thousands of dollars in equipment after an unknown thief drove off with his storage trailer.

The Hardy Avenue resident called police after 6 p.m. May 21 to report the burglary, noting that he'd left his home at 7:15 that morning, but returned after work to find that the trailer that he'd left sitting in his driveway was gone.

On May 23, a Foxborough resident reported that someone had stolen his two dogs from his yard.

The dogs were described as a 2-year-old Puggle and a 9-year-old Catahoola Leopard hunting dog — both males.

The victim said he kept the two dogs in his fenced backyard and last saw them around 8 p.m. on May 22. His wife went into the backyard the next morning to find that the dogs were missing.

He said the gates were secured and there was no way for the dogs to get out on their own.
