Also, that's not my lawnmower.

The following information was supplied by the police departments in the City of Goose Creek and the City of Hanahan. It does not indicate a conviction.

Early on Saturday, Nov. 19, officers responded to a call that a man had walked off after driving his 2004 Ford Explorer into a ditch near Pizza Hut on St. James Avenue.

An officer found the man walking around the parking lot at King's Plaza. He said he was trying to enter the Burger King parking lot when he ran into the ditch.

He told the officer that he'd phoned a tow truck and decided to head down to Alex's Restaurant for something to eat. The diner has been closed for several months.

The man said he'd had four or five beers at a bar earlier that night. He went on to struggle through several roadside sobriety tests before he was charged with driving under the influence.

That's Not My Lawnmower

A resident of The Oaks contacted police on Sunday, Nov. 20, when he found a red Toro push lawnmower (estimated to be worth $200) sitting in his front yard behind his boat.

The man told police he has no idea how the lawnmower found its way on his property. He quizzed neighbors and none of them could offer any information.

A check of the National Crime Information Center determined the lawnmower has not been reported stolen.
