Blotter: Victim's Brass Knuckles Confiscated

The following information was supplied by the City of Goose Creek Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Friday, July 29, a 21-year-old man was leaving Walmart with his mother when another driver, apparently believing that the victim cut him off, allegedly started threatening the mother-son pair. The unknown suspects pulled up beside them in an orange minivan when the driver leaned over the passenger and started yelling and cussing.

The suspect allegedly threw an unknown item at the victim's car and yelled, "Pull into Hess so I can kick your a!#." In fear for his safety, the victim pulled out his brass knuckles to scare off the suspect. The passenger in the minivan responded, "We have something in here, too, and he’s gonna get you." The victim drove to the police station and reported the crime. He also gave up his brass knuckles.

The groundskeeper at Dogwood Park contacted police Saturday, July 30, to report a suspicious vehicle that appeared to be abandoned. Searching the 12-year-old Volkswagen Jetta, an officer found $1,000 in cash in the center console.
