The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a Ladson 9-year-old is recovering after an accident Monday morning when he ran into the side of a car. The incident occurred at the corner of Discovery Drive and Briar Rose Lane. Oscar Zeigler, 51, was driving down the road shortly after 6:30 a.m. when the boy went to cross the street and ran into his car, said S.C. Highway Patrol Cpl. Bob Beres. The boy was taken to Trident Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was not responsible for the accident, Beres said.
