THE MARRINGTON OLYMPIAD: Field Day 2013
See the spectacular specticle of Marrington Elementary School's 2013 Field Day Olympiad!
Marrington Elementary’s field was the scene of another spectacular athletic event. For Field Day 2013, Coach Brandon Beckman chose to recreate the Olympics. Classes were encouraged to choose a country from around the world, and competed against “athletes” from their own country and other countries around the world. The top three finishers in each event from each grade level received either a gold, silver, or bronze medal.
Classes were encouraged to wear shirts supporting their country and bring a country flag to wave in support of their fellow athletes. Grade levels could choose to have an “Olympic Village” in their pod highlighting different foods and customs from their respective countries.
