Wash Your Grumpies Away By Spreading Love And Light

How to wash away "the grumpies" so that your light keeps shining!

1 John 1:4,5,10

And these things we write, so that our joy may be made complete. And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light.

The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.

 2 John 1:5,10,11

And now I ask you, lady, not as writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into [your] house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

God “tells” you things so that you can be happy.  He wants your “joy to be made full,” so that you will be at peace.  When you are stressed out and grumpy, you are only looking inward at how tricky things are for you. Instead, God wants you to concentrate on outwardly reflecting His light and His love to the people that He has put in your world.  God is love, God is light. God lives inside of you and thus you have that same love and light within your spirit.  That is your better self, not your sometimes grumpy, unconfident, self-centered self.  And what God wants you to do with your “better love/light self” is to “walk in the same manner that He walked.”  That simply means with everyone you encounter, ask yourself, “Am I reflecting love and light?”  You reflect love when you are kind even though you don’t feel like it.  You reflect light when you offer help or guidance to someone even when you are so very busy and you would rather just work on your own thing.  Spread love and light to everyone you encounter.  If someone is not of the same spirit, simply sprinkle a little love and light their way but then quickly move along. Do not become entangled in the dark web of negative conversations that lead to the destruction of your positive energy and joyful spirit. When you spend the moments of your days valiantly trying to be a light-shiner and a joy-spreader, you will be accomplishing your mission.  And the grateful reaction you get from the people in your world will help wash away your momentary stress or grumpiness so that your joy can return.
