Brandywine Boulevard to Close For Paving

Nightly closures planned early next week.

Brandywine Boulevard will be closed for two nights early next week to allow paving trucks to roll in for the ongoing beautification project.

The short road through downtown Goose Creek will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday night and Monday night.

Etiwan Drive traffic should use Central Avenue for access, according to a city release. Access will be available for all Emergency Services along Brandywine Boulevard.

The work is part of the ongoing downtown improvement project that includes the Central Avenue rehab.

The total cost for the Brandywine work is estimated at $211,000 and will be paid for through tax dollars set aside for redevelopment of the downtown area.
