School Bus, Tractor Trailer in St. Stephen Accident

Highway Patrol: Car trying to pass bus strikes trailer. Two injuries.

Crews are working the scene of a St. Stephen accident this morning involving a Timberland High school bus, a Nissan and an 18-wheeler, according to Cpl. Bob Beres with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

"At 7:40am, a school bus just finished picking up a student on Hwy-45 when a black Nissan attempted to pass the bus on a double yellow line," according to Beres.

The car hit the back of the bus and then veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with the tractor trailer, he said.
