Budget Workshops, Nucor Deal On This Week's Agendas

County Council public hearing includes liquor store option at Cane Bay.

Goose Creek City Council will hold two budget work shops this week in council chambers, 519 N. Goose Creek Blvd.

At 6 p.m. Tuesday, the council will receive a 2011 audit presentation, with a review of the proposed 2013 budget from City Administrator Dennis Harmon.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, the council will hold a second workshop to review the proposed budget. Both meetings will include a chance for audience comments.

The Finance Committee will consider a fee agreement with Nucor Steel regarding expansion at the company's Berkeley County facility. See the agenda.

The Committee on Land Use will consider a resolution on abandoning a portion of the right of way along Rose Drive as part of a road realignment. See the agenda.

The Berkeley County School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the district office board room, 231 E. Main Street, Moncks Corner. No agenda available.
