Owner tells police about string of similar burglaries targeting chain across the region.

The Goose Creek Zaxby's was the subject of a break-in last week, with the owner suggesting the theft may be part of a string of thefts targeting the chicken finger franchise.
A manager contacted police at 9:30 June 13 when she found someone had stolen the security safe. She told police that she had locked up the building the previous night. The doors were still locked when she returned in the morning and there were no signs of a robbery until she got inside and found the office door open.
A security video shows two men entering the building with what appears to be a key. The two ran to the office and dragged a security safe back across the floor, leaving the way they entered. Police note the entire break-in took approximately 90 seconds.
