Busy Saturday: Giant Garage Sale, Child Safety Fair

It will be a busy Saturday morning for Goose Creek residents as two big events bring out shoppers looking for deals and parents and children looking for information on staying safe.

First, the Goose Creek Recreation Department is hosting its from 8 a.m. to noon at the Casey Community Center, 101 Old Moncks Corner Road. More than two-dozen vendors are expected. Then, The Salvatore Muscarella Italian-American Association of Goose Creek presents this . Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler will be speaking at the event, and there will be demonstrations provided by local first responders and other organizations.

There will be information on how to keep your children safe, games and prizes, karate demonstrations, a video on child escape methods, free finger printing and food.
