Cain Headlines Next Tim Scott Forum

Congressman Tim Scott has announced the next forum in his Presidential Town Hall Series.

Herman Cain, former CEO of Godfather's Pizza and a surprise player in the GOP primary field, will be meeting residents at noon Saturday,  Sept. 17, at the Daniel Island School.

"The Palmetto State is where I rolled out my jobs plan, and I am excited to return here to spread my message of common sense solutions," Cain said in a statement.  "I appreciate Congressman Scott’s invitation to discuss my plans and my problem solving strategies with the voters of South Carolina."

Scott has previously held similar forums with former ambassador and former Utah , (R-Minn.), and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

"Our country is ready for new leadership in the White House.  Our Town Hall Series is one step in that direction," said Scott in a statement. "South Carolina has chosen every Republican nominee since Ronald Reagan, so it is important that we get it right."
