Calendar Released for Goose Creek Elections

Candidates begin filing Jan. 19, residents go to the polls April 3.

Just as the S.C. Presidential Primary closes up, the municipal elections in the City of Goose Creek will start picking up steam.

City staff have released the schedule for City Council elections to be held on April 3.

Candidate filing will run from noon Jan. 19 to noon Feb. 3. Candidates must file electronically with the State Ethics Commission. A copy of the confirmed filing and a $150 filing fee must then be submitted to the Berkeley County Elections and Registration Office, 6 Belt Drive, Moncks Corner.

Three council seats will be on the ballot. The seats are currently held by Jerry Tekac, John McCants and Sal Gandolfo.
