Just as the S.C. Presidential Primary closes up, the municipal elections in the City of Goose Creek will start picking up steam. City staff have <a href="http://www.pressomatic.com/cityofgoosecreek/upload/Goose%20Creek%20filing%202012.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">released the schedule for City Council elections</a> to be held on April 3. Candidate filing will run from noon Jan. 19 to noon Feb. 3. Candidates must file electronically with the State Ethics Commission. A copy of the confirmed filing and a $150 filing fee must then be submitted to the Berkeley County Elections and Registration Office, 6 Belt Drive, Moncks Corner. Three council seats will be on the ballot. The seats are currently held by Jerry Tekac, John McCants and Sal Gandolfo.
