Camps Offering Last Slice of Summer

A few options left before school is back in session.

School is right around the corner. [Sigh] But there are a few last summer camp opportunities to take advantage of before the first homeroom bell rings.

The City of Goose Creek’s Teen Adventure Camp runs now through Aug. 5. There are different programs each week for young people ages 11-14. Camp hours run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $80 a week, as well as a $30 registration fee.

Charleston Southern University is hosting the Barclay Radebaugh Basketball Camp on  Aug. 1-5. Campers, ages 7-18, work with high school and college coaches as well as professional players. There will also be motivational speakers and other recreation opportunities, including swimming. The cost is $180. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The city’s Rock 'n Roll Gymnastics Camp runs from Aug. 8-12. The camp for ages 5 and up includes basic gymnastics, dance gymnastics, arts and crafts and outdoor activities. There will be a show for parents at the end of the week. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost is $80 for the week, $85 for non-residents. There is also a daily rare: $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents.
