
A Cane Bay High School custodian has been charged with allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old student.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and the Berkeley County School District announced the arrest in a joint statement Friday evening.
According to the release, deputies responded to Cane Bay High School at 2 p.m. Thursday regarding a report that a custodian had allegedly assaulted a student.

On Friday, the Sheriff's Office arrested Wilber Burnette Dash, of Stoney Landing Road, Moncks Corner. He has been charged with 3rd degree assault.
Dash is on administrative leave pending the outcome of a full investigation, according to district spokeswoman Susan Haire.
