Cane Bay Schools Host Event to Support Neighbors
More than 100 families assisted with winter and holiday supplies.

Release, Berkeley County School District:
On Saturday, Nov. 17, Cane Bay High School (CBHS) hosted its third Community Fair. This year, Cane Bay Middle joined in the efforts to feed and clothe families and individuals in need.
Over 100 Cane Bay families from the Cane Bay area — as well as others from the Berkeley County area — were served that morning.

Nearly 50 students representing CBHS's Student Council, BETA Club and National Honor Society joined in that morning to help serve the community. With partnerships from Del Webb, which hosted a softball game to help raise food donations, and Northwoods Assembly Church, which donated the 100 turkeys, the event was a huge success.

Food and clothing drives were held in both schools to ensure that there was enough food and garments to go around. In addition, volunteers from the Church of Cane Bay were on-hand to help set up.
Both schools thank all of the community  support for this effort, and another community fair will be held before spring break. At this event, health vendors will be available to perform free screenings.
