Center for the Arts Accepting Applications

District program open to rising 9th graders. Apply by Jan. 10.

The Berkeley Center for the Arts is accepting applications for next fall.

Located at Goose Creek High School, the BCA is a school-within-a-school that offers 9th through 12th graders programs in creative writing, dance, strings, theater, visual arts, voice, winds and percussion.

Students will received traditional courses at the high school, as well as individualized instruction in arts courses, as well as master classes by faculty members and guest artists.

Students also participate in studio presentations and recitals. And there is course work in history and theory of the arts to supplement training.

According to the Berkeley County School District, admission is open to all rising ninth graders in the district. Students must apply by Jan.10 and must audition on Feb. 4.
