Chris Brown Impressing at Notre Dame

The pressure was on Hanahan grad Chris Brown the moment he signed with Notre Dame. The famed football program had been banking on star Deontay Greenberry, but he switched to Houston at the last minute.

That put the pressure on Brown and other new recruits this fall. The reviews are in and Brown is impressing in early practices for the Fighting Irish.

Keith Arnold with NBC Sports' Irish blog thinks Brown will lead Notre Dame in yards-per-catch.

"Most people assumed Brian Kelly's gushing review of Brown on Signing Day was a way to help Irish fans cope with the loss of Deontay Greenberry," Arnold said. "But after a week of practice, it’s clear that Brown is living up to the hype."
