City Launches Historical Scavenger Hunt
Goose Creek continues 50th anniversary with contest.

The City of Goose Creek is hosting an Historical Hunt through Oct. 23, rewarding residents for digging into the area's rich history.
Part of the municipality's 50th anniversary celebration, the education scavenger hunt asks participants to visit historical markers throughout the city and answer questions about the information one each marker.
Residents can pick up entry forms at the Goose Creek Community Center, cityofgoosecreek.com or by clicking on the PDF to the right. Completed entries, along with photos of 2 historical markers, must be submitted to the Community Center by Oct. 23. Winners will be announced at the City of Goose Creek's Fall Festival on Oct. 29.

The grand prize winner will receive a 50th Anniversary Prize Pack that contains a 50th Anniversary t-shirt, the City’s official 50th Anniversary Historical booklet signed by the Mayor, a $50 Dick’s Sporting Goods gift certificate and a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
The city's , hosted by Mayor Michael Heitzler, will begin on Thursday.
