College Park Elementary Builds Outdoor Classroom

College Park Elementary has enhanced its learning environment by adding an outdoor classroom. On Sept. 7, volunteers from Joint Base Charleston, along with members of the school's administration, built an outdoor classroom as College Park Elementary’s Day of Caring project. Supplies for the outdoor classroom were purchased from money raised from Box Tops contributions. The classroom has tables with umbrellas, wooden frames for garden plots, trash receptacles, and watering hose. Future plans for the classroom include a mural, student art work, and a name created and voted on by the student body. Students have already used and appreciated the new outdoor classroom.
