Flat Stanley writing project assists in drug-free message.

Release, Berkeley County School District:
On Friday, October 26, College Park Elementary celebrated the end of its Red Ribbon Week and the Flat Stanley project with a school-wide celebration.  The district’s maintenance department and Berkeley Cooperative were on-hand to display Red Ribbon banners. Â
The fun included the release of Red Ribbon Flat Stanley's red balloons and free-falling some of the Flat Stanley's bucket trucks. In addition, the school has been working on a new outdoor classroom, "BARK PARK" that we created on the Day of Caring in collaboration with Joint Base Charleston.

For Red Ribbon Week, classes planted red tulips to bloom in the spring. CPE's school-wide Flat Stanley writing project is part of a world-wide initiative in which children create their own Flat Stanley paper cutouts and mail them to friends and family around the globe. Â
