Cook-Out Construction Under Way on University Boulevard

Construction has already begun on a Cook-Out diner on the growing commercial corridor along University Boulevard.

The Post and Courier's Warren Wise first reported on Cook-Out's expansion plans, noted it's one of four locations planned in the Charleston area.

Gilbert said the new restaurant will be about 2,000 square feet with inside dining. He expects construction to take about five months.

The particular lot at 8970 University Boulevard has been advertised as a prime restaurant site for several years. The block has seen signficant development, with a CVS drug store, BB&T bank branch and a small shopping center.
