Coroner Identifies Man Hit by Train
Notice delayed because of challenges finding next of kin.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury released the name of .Â
Miguel Zelaya Raudales, 39, was reportedly sitting in his parked car on the train tracks when an Amtrak train struck the car, tearing it in half.
Raudales lived in North Charleston, but was originally from Honduras. Salisbury said Raudales was sending money regularly back to Honduras to take care of his daughter.Â

The coroner used Western Union receipts found in Raudales' home to track down the next of kin. Arrangements are being made to send his body back to Honduras, Salisbury said.
The train reportedly hit Raudales' 1997 Pontiac Sunfire at the Mabeline Road crossing in Hanahan at 1:40 a.m. Sunday. The sedan was cut in two, with half remaining at the crossing and the rest stuck on the front of the train.
