The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office will be spending the extended holiday weekend putting its Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (HEAT) team on the roadways for aggressive traffic patrols and checkpoints.
"Our goal is for every person traveling throughout the county to get to their destinations safely," said Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon in a statement.
