On Oct. 11, Berkeley County School District worked with the Goose Creek Police, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department and Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness to stage a training scenario designed to help prepare agencies.  In the scenario, participants enacted a response to an armed gunman entering the building. The shooter had "shot" three faculty members and two children before barricading himself in a classroom. The lessons learned should assist in responsiveness and cooperation between agencies, particularly in a school setting.
