Details Released in Moonshine Saloon Beating Death
Victim's funeral will be held on Thursday.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department has released details on the beating death of Ricky Duttine.
Officers arrived at Moonshine Saloon on Myers Road at 1:50 a.m. Saturday. They found Summerville residents Ricky Duttine, 35, and Tadd Murray, 34, laying on the ground in the parking lot in front of the bar.
Duttine was unconscious and Murray was just regaining consciousness.

The crowd in front of the bar included two witnesses who said two suspects punched the two victims in the face. The suspects were later identified as Justin Johnson, 24, of 10 Pruitt St. in Summerville, and Jonathan Powell, 26, of 106 Pelicao Lane, Ladson.
Witnesses claim that Powell puched both victims in the face, according to the Sheriff's Department. Witnesses also claim that Johnson punched Powell and repeatedly kicked Duttine.

Duttine was transported to Trident Medical Center and died roughly 12 hours after the incident. Johnson and Powell were charged with voluntary manslaughter. Bail was set Sunday at $200,000, according to The Post and Courier.
Services for Duttine will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, 130 West 1st North St., Summerville.
