District Looks for Crossing Guard Support
Help needed at Sangaree Elementary after guard hit this week.

The Berkeley County School District is asking for help at the Royle Road entrance to Sangaree Elementary School on Wednesday.
Natalie Boles, 35, of Summerville, was allegedly hit by a pickup driven by a Goose Creek teen. Boles was still in critical condition Friday morning at MUSC.
The driver was ticketed for disobeying a school guard directing traffic, which comes with a $225 fine and four points on her driving record.

Live 5's Mark Davenport spoke to a friend of Boles who said the crossing guard was growing concerned at the traffic.
Martin says it was eerie because of what Boles had told him just a day before the accident. He says the crossing guard told him she was having second thoughts about her work because of how bad the intersection had become.
"After her telling me that and her getting hit," said Martin. "To me that was a sign she knew something bad was going to happen."
