Dog Mauling Follow-Up: McGrew Children Reunited with Parents

The Department of Social Services has ruled it is in the best interest of two children to return to their parents, after they were removed when their sibling was preyed upon by the family dog in April, according to an Associated Press report.

Goose Creek veterinarian Janet Crowe with Creekside Veterinary Clinic told News 2 recently that it's important to teach dogs and children how to interact.

"The ones that are taught will protect that child to no end and will be their best friend for life but the ones that aren't taught and the ones that aren't trained, they don't know that is a child so they see it as another animal to play rough with," Crowe told the television station.
