DOT Hearing Tuesday on Henry Brown Widening

The S.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing Tuesday to review widening plans for Henry Brown Boulevard, from Red Bank Road to Liberty Hall Road. This is the first phase of a larger plan to connect Henry Brown Boulevard to Montague Plantation Road, creating an eastern bypass around downtown Goose Creek.

The hearing will be from 5-7 p.m. in the Goose Creek High School cafeteria, 1137 Red Bank Road.

The first hour will be an informal session. Displays will be available for public review, with project staff on hand to answer questions individually. At 6 p.m., there will be a brief presentation on the project, followed by a public comment period.

Those wishing to make a comment should sign in prior to 5:55 p.m. and will be limited to two minutes. 

Project staff will be available following the public hearing for more informal question and answer.
