Goose Creek City Council meeting items for Tuesday, June 12.

It may be Primary Day for South Carolina, but that doesn't stop business as usual for our local municipalities.
The City of Goose Creek will meet Tuesday night at 7 p.m., following a workshop at 5:30 p.m.

Annexation: Second and final reading for an ordinance annexing 439 Old Monks Corner Road (to be zoned Planned Development). Introduction and first reading of ordinances annexing 1001 St. James Avenue and 202 Redpoint Lane, both to be zoned Conservation/Open Space.

Zoning: Second and final reading for an ordinance amending the zoning code, strictly limiting the establishment of sweepstakes parlors. , but the zoning changes are considered precautionary in case the courts or the state legislature determine the businesses are legal.
Contract: Staff will recommend approval of a contract for a telephone system upgrade and connectivity improvements for city facilities to Diversified Computer Solutions of Columbia for $117,198.61. Staff will also recommend approval of a $1,308,760 contract with O.L. Thompson Construction of North Charleston for streetscape improvements on Brandywine Boulevard and Etiwan Drive.
