DUI Charges For Goose Creek Man After Two Police Cruisers Damaged

Officers were directing traffic around early-morning SCDOT worksite.

A Goose Creek man has been charged with DUI after an accident damaging two North Charleston police cruisers.

Daniel Solomon Frasier, 27, of 506 Crenshaw Lane, was charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .1 but below .16.

Early Saturday morning, North Charleston Police officers were helping to direct traffic for a S.C. Department of Transportation road crew working on three lanes of traffic on Rivers Avenue near Otranto Road.

At 1:45 a.m., Frasier's white Pontiac allegedly struck a burgundy Kia. The Kia reportedly spun and hit the two police cruiser. The Pontiac also hit one of the cruisers.

Frasier was arrested by the S.C. Highway Patrol. The driver of the Kia was transported to a local emergency room for medical treatment.

One cruiser received significant damage and was towed to the city garage. The second cruiser just had a large dent in the passenger side rear.
