Dancin’ Wid We: Music and Dance of the Gullah/Geechee Culture

In honor of Black History Month, Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation, will lead an interactive afternoon  filled with music and dance that celebrate the culture’s unique harmonies. 

Marquetta L. Goodwine, is Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation, is a native of St. Helena Island, South Carolina She is an author, mathematician, computer scientist, historic preservationist, and "The Art-ivist." She is the elected and enstooled Head-of-State for the Gullah/Geechee Nation. www.QueenQuet.com The Gullah/Geechee Nation begins in Jacksonville, NC and extends to Jacksonville, Florida encompassing the Sea Islands and 30-35 miles inland to the St. John's River.
