The 60-member professional wind ensemble is comprised of musicians from across the Eastern United States who perform unique concerts in which scripture is expounded and presented through art music. This summer’s concert, Psalms, Hymns, and Spirituals Songs: The Gospel in Appalachian Music explores Christian worship music from well-known in Appalachia including such well-known hymns as “Amazing Grace” and “Come Ye Sinners” as well as a Sacred Harp singing.
