If you have never attended a Storage Unit Auction you are in for a treat. These sales are fast-paced and exciting because it is like a “grab-bag” full of surprises. We sell the entire “bin” for one bid price, so the bidder gets whatever is there. Extra Space Storage never disturbs the unit until it is sold, so we “cut” the lock, allow a quick through-the-door inspection, then sell it to the highest bidder on the spot. Be prepared to make quick decisions, and to pay CASH immediately after the sale. The buyer has 24 hours to clean out the unit, make other arrangements, with management or rent the unit. $100 refundable cleaning deposit per unit applies (see above). 10% Buyer’s Premium will apply, so take that into account while bidding.
