Free Concert Series Begins Friday Night

The Sounds of Summer concert series kicks off Friday night with the CoastRunner Band. 

The free weekly event will be from 6-9 p.m. on the lawn at the Crowfield Golf and Country Club through June 29.

CoastRunner Band has an eclectic catalog, according to its website: "R&B, funk, Motown, beach music, ballads, rock and even some expected standards and country."

Event sponsors include Ryland Homes, NBSC, LowCountry Roofing and Exteriors, Coldwell Banker United, Realtors and Goose Creek Heating and Air.

Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair for seating. Pets, coolers and alcohol are not permitted. For more information call the Goose Creek Community Center at 569-4242 or visit Goose Creek Recreation.
