Free Concert Series Has Final Show Tonight
One last Sounds of Summer event at Crowfield.

The City of Goose Creek is bringing its free summer set of cool tunes to the Crowfield Golf and Country Club one more time tonight.
This week, Souled Out of Charleston is back. The band has a healthy song list that puts its horn section to good use, with party-time songs like "Jump, Jive and Wail" and "I Feel Good," as well as standards like "Wonderful Tonight" and "Brown Eyed Girl."
The six-week Sounds of Summer Concert Series has brought more than music to the lawn at the city's clubhouse. Local artisans have been shopping their products while food vendors have been cooking up some Southern cooking.

The audience can bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the show — some Crowfield residents park their golf carts along the side of the lawn, too.
The city stresses that no pets are allowed. You can't bring your own booze, either, but the clubhouse is open.

"I got two emails today asking whether we could continue it," said Mayor Mike Heitzler earlier this week. It's been a successful program — and sponsorships meant it required no tax dollars. But it was labor intensive. "We got pooped out," Heitzler said.
The free concert runs from 6-9 p.m. tonight. For more information, visit the recreation department online or call 843-569-4242.
