Friday Football: Goose Creek Gators Televised

High school football returns to Berkeley County tonight as Goose Creek seeks to defend its state title.

The Gators will host Ashley Ridge in a televised game, with kick-off at 7:36 p.m. on MyTV Charleston. The program will begin at 7:30. Check your local listings for the station number. In regular season play last year, the Gators beat Ashley Ridge, 65-3.

Cane Bay will host Summerville. The Cobras are starting their first season in AAAA by facing off against the Green Wave. The two teams didn't meet last year.

The Stratford Knights will be travelling to Berkeley High School on Friday night. It was a 28-0 win that kicked off the Knights season last year — but that wasn't on the road.

Hanahan will visit Timberland. The Hawks beat Military Magnet last week, 47-16. Timberland is 1-0 after a narrow win in Manning.
