Friday Football: Goose Creek Travels to Wando, Stratford Hosts West Ashley

Cane Bay also at home, Hanahan on the road.

Final scores for Oct. 19 and a quick preview for next week.

In the final let of the season, Goose Creek is on the road for two weeks before returning home for a final regular season game Nov. 2.

Last week, it was Stratford's turn to try to stop Wando's undefeated season. This time, the Gators are heading across the Cooper River with a stronger hand to play.

Like last week, the stakes couldn't be higher at Wando's stadium. At 8-0, Goose Creek is looking for its own undefeated season. By the end of the game, there will be only one undefeated team in the division.

Stratford struggled against Wando last week, with a 42-7 loss. Now at 7-1, the Knights will host West Ashley in the first of two final home games. Stratford will certainly be working hard tonight for that eighth win.

Cane Bay knew that it would be a tough two weeks on the road against Stratford and Goose Creek. West Florence (6-2) is sure to provide yet another challenge for the Cobras (5-3). But it won't get any easier next week against Wando, so Cane Bay needs a win this week to break the trend.

Hanhan has found good fortunes in 3A play. At 7-1, the Hawks will spend the final two weeks on the road. This week, it's the long trek to Hilton Head (6-3-1). While next week's game against Stall will be an easier trip for fans, Hilton Head is likely offering the last big challenge to Hanahan's strong season.
