Friday Football: Stratford, Goose Creek at 7-0

Cane Bay loses in first division challenge; Hanahan stays strong with Berkeley win.

Stratford remains undefeated after a 28-7 win against Cane Bay on Friday night. The game was tight at halftime, but the Knights went on to show why they're one of the top teams in the state.

Stratford travels to Wando next week for their second division match-up. Both teams are heading into the week 7-0. So this game will finally break the undefeated logjam at the top of the division rankings.

As for the Cobras (5-2), it's another hard game on the road next week aginst Goose Creek.

The 1-5 Carolina Forest travelled to Goose Creek this week, likely aware of the odds against them. The Gators didn't disappoint, with a 56-6 final score and yet another win for Chuck Reedy and his team, now 7-0 and ready for the visiting Cobras next week. Friday's game will be televised on ESPNU.

The Cobras strong success this year in AAAA makes it easier to overlook how well the Hanahan Hawks are performing in their first season of AAA. It was another win for Hanahan on Friday, beating Berkeley High on the road, 34-16.

Now 6-1, Hanahan will host its final home game next week against James Island (3-4). The special Thursday night game will be televised on MyTV Charleston (check your TV listings for channel number).
